New Orleans Saints traded Pro Bowl TE Jimmy Graham last month and there have been ramblings that everyone on the Saints were on the Trade Block including QB Drew Brees. This would start the rebuilding process for the Saints but GM Mickey Loomis told USA TODAY’s Jim Corbett that Brees being traded is not true.
“Anybody who thinks we’re trading Drew Brees that’s just not true.”-Jim Corbett
At least for now Brees will still be starting QB for the New Orleans Saints. But it wouldn’t be a bad idea for the Saints to switch strategy with how the offense is ran. Brees threw 659 times last year for 4,952 yards for any QB that is a ton of passes to attempt. And Brees at the age of 36, New Orleans needs to begin to start a succession plan.
