Ben Roethlisberger didn’t get the huge contract that some of his peers have received, but the Steelers did take care of their all time leading passer.
The team announced that Roethlisberger has signed a new five-year deal that is worth $99 million and can escalate to $108 million, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, per a source informed of the situation.

He was set to hit free agency after the 2015 season, but general manager Kevin Colbert said recently he was confident the two sides would come to terms.
Roethlisberger led the league with a career-high 4,952 yards in 2015. His 7.9 yards-per-attempt average is sixth in NFL history and second among active players.
