During the second round of the NCAA tournament, the highly favored Kentucky Wildcats played Hampton University, a historically black college with an all black team. During the game, one of Kentucky’s fans was allegedly heard spewing racist and sexist vitriol towards the Hampton players and cheerleaders according to a bystander. Her claims are below.
The irony in this is that the very team he cheers for is stacked with African Americans. It’s important to note that this man represents only himself and not the entire UK fan base.
