With the NBA Playoffs kicking off soon, Cleveland Cavalier fans are no doubt excited to see their team in the postseason for the first time since 2010. That is, if they can get their hands on some tickets to said playoff games that is.
Tickets for Games 1 & 2 of the Cavs upcoming first round series went on sale at 9:00 AM this morning, and by 9:01 they were all gone. Seriously. Needless to say, Cavs fans were not happy about being tickets being sold out so quickly.
So, the @cavs single game playoff ticket lottery thing was a real letdown. 9:00:45, and no tickets available.

Refreshing to get #cavs playoff tickets at 9:00 and they sell out at 9:01.
This isn’t the first time the Cavs have had some controversy with tickets to their games. After signing LeBron James and acquiring Kevin Love in the off-season, fans were obviously excited to get to as many games as possible. Only the Cavs decided they were going to have a monthly lottery for single game tickets that basically banned fans from purchasing tickets for two months if they were lucky enough to go to a single game in the first place.
While I understand that demand for these tickets is through the roof, selling out two games completely in 45 seconds just seems a bit… odd. The Cavs officially announced that the ticket sold out in ‘minutes’ but a quick Twitter search is all you need to see that their fans were unable to buy tickets a minute after the launch.
Tickets for the Cavs playoff games after 1&2 of the first round will go on-sale later, so it will be interesting to see how fast those sell out as well. If you’re a Cavs fan hoping to go to a game, make sure you have some incredibly fast internet connection or pray you have some great luck, those seem to be the only ways to get yourself some tickets to see LeBron and Co. in the playoffs.
