During the NFL Draft, Deion Sanders is usually the first person the newly drafted players get to speak to after shaking the commissioners hand.
It was a decision met with skepticism, but Sanders is applauding both players for the move.
“That’s a lot of people to take up there for several days and spend those finances, you don’t have any money. So why wouldn’t you want to spend it at home in the confines of your own home where you grew up and let the whole community join in the feelings and emotions of the draft? I applaud them.”
“It’s awesome to see the joy,” he said. “It’s awesome to see the emotion, the whole family at the table when they receive that phone call. Finally your dreams just called you,” he said. “All you have to do is answer the phone.”
