Herschel Walker Thinks Vikings Should Trade Adrian Peterson

Herschel Walker spent 3 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings after being traded from the Dallas Cowboys in 1989. Now Herschel is commenting on what he thinks the Vikings should do with RB Adrian Peterson.

It makes no sense just to hang on to him just to hang on to him. I don’t think that’s right if you’re not getting along…They should trade him because I think Adrian has lost his love for the Vikings with everything that went on last year. There is a lot of bad blood right now. I think Adrian feels that (the Vikings) should have supported him throughout his tough time, and I think they should trade him if they can.

The Vikings and Peterson relationship has been rough over the past year and teams know this. Peterson wishes that the Vikings did more as he handled off the field issues.

Cowboys and Vikings combined 26 years ago in a trade that resulted in Cowboys receiving Emmitt Smith and Darren Woodson for Herschel Walker. So if the Vikings hope to pull off a similar Blockbuster trade they can’t seem desperate to trade Peterson. I think in the end they will trade him but just waiting for teams to up offers.
