Since Jay Z announced his new music streaming app Tidal the big question has been what effect this would have on other streaming apps like Spotify and Beats Music. Jay previously said that the success of Tidal doesn’t mean that other apps have to fail.
However it looks like as of today you can no longer stream Jay Z’s album Reasonable Doubt. While Reasonable Doubt is not Jay highest selling album, the critically acclaim album is said to be Jay’s favorite. Maybe this move to pull it off Spotify was connected to the lack of financial success of that album. If other artist follow and pull more of their music its going to be impossible for other apps to maintain.
