By now everyone has seen the video of JR Smith’s back-handed knockout punch to the Celtics Jae Crowder. When the play happened, Crowder fell backwards on his knee and it looked like he could have suffered a pretty serious injury. Luckily for Crowder and the Celtics, the injury was not as severe as expected according to Yahoo! Sports Marc Spears.
Jae Crowder has been diagnosed with a left ACL sprain after meeting with a Celtics team physician this morning.
