Now that Jim Harbaugh has taken over the realm in Ann Arbor, recruiting has gone to another level for the Wolverines. Last Friday, QB Brandon Peters gave his commitment, which sparked three more commits to pledge to Michigan. So, you may be wondering what’s so special about Peters. According to Peters, Harbaugh gave him some really high praise that may explain a lot.
“He compared me to Andrew Luck,” Peters explained. “It’s a similar situation to what he had at Stanford, with Luck being the first quarterback recruit he brought in [with a full cycle]. He thinks I’m a really good fit for him at Michigan like Luck was for him there.”
If Peters lives up to the hype, then Ann Arbor has a lot to look forward to, but a comparison to Andrew Luck is a very bold statement. Let’s not forget that coaches tend to tell players everything they want to hear when it’s time to recruit. This isn’t to say that Peters won’t live up to the expectation, but I’m betting that Harbaugh didn’t want that comparison to be public knowledge. Here are some of Peters’ highlights to give you a sneak peak of what to expect.
