With Wrestlemania season officially in our rear-view mirrors, WWE presents their first pay-per-view since the biggest show of the year, Extreme Rules. As is often the case, this PPV has been used to build feuds putting over new Champs and stars, but still looks like a strong card nonetheless. Let’s take a look at what is likely to go down Sunday night.

Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton (WWE World Heavyweight Title Steel Cage Match)

Sunday’s main event will be a continuation of a feud that we’ve seen play out on WWE television over the past couple of months between the Future Seth Rollins and the Viper Randy Orton. This time, the WWE World Heavyweight title is involved after Rollins became Champ with the greatest Money in the Bank Cash-In of all-time.

This match should be interesting to watch as WWE has actually built a pretty intriguing main event. The two will clash inside of a steel cage which, with a guy known for phenomenal sell-jobs in Rollins, should be really damn good. I mean just look at the RKO Orton pulled on Rollins to end Raw inside of a cage last Monday.

The only issue here? The RKO is banned in the match. It’s interesting that Orton won’t be allowed to use his finisher in kayfabe after WWE may or may not have banned Rollins Curb Stomp in real-life. Aside from the fact that this is a steel cage match with the RKO being banned, both men have to worry about Kane being the ‘Guardian of the Gate’ during the match. I say both men because we don’t know if Kane will help Rollins, Orton or neither on Sunday because story-lines.

Despite all of the stipulations being involved, the bottom line is these two tend to always put on a great match, and Extreme Rules should be no different. It’s unlikely that the veteran Orton is doing anything more than putting the new Champ over in this match, but it will be interesting to see how the Authority gets involved from here. The worst thing about this is that we won’t get another awesome RKO on Rollins like the above and of course this amazing one from Wrestlemania.

I expect Rollins to walk out as Champ one way or the other, and Orton to sneak in an RKO once the match is over.
