I don’t know if there will be a fine coming, but Masai Ujiri is winning the most passionate GM award for a second consecutive post-season.
Nearly one year ago to the day, Toronto Raptors GM Masai Ujiri stood outside the Air Canada Centre and shouted “f*ck Brooklyn” before Game 1 of the Nets-Raptors series.
Ujiri apologized at halftime of that game and said he was simply trying to get fans fired up. He was fined $25,000 after the incident.
Ujiri was at it again Saturday in Maple Leaf Square, but this time his venom was focused on Wizards forward Paul Pierce. Pierce said earlier in the week that Toronto lacks an “it” factor that certain contenders possess.
“We don’t give a [expletive] about ‘it.’”
Once the game started, Raptors fans serenaded the Wizards with “Paul Pierce sucks.”
