One of the more surprising results of the NBA Playoffs so far was the Washington Wizards sweeping aside the fourth-seeded Toronto Raptors. After losing the first two games of the series at home, the Raps were knocked out of the playoffs in an embarrassing blow-out loss in DC against the Wiz.
After the game, Raptors guard Kyle Lowry wasn’t exactly shy about what the team needs to do to succeed moving forward.
Lowry: "there is a few things internally that probably need to be fixed"

Lowry: "I respect Casey as a man. He’s a hell of a guy. At the end of the day, like I said, it’s not my choice, it’s not my decision."

Generally, when you follow up calling for internal changes by not really endorsing your head coach, it’s likely the changes you want involve removing said coach. Lowry has a history of butting heads with his coaches, but that seemed to be solved when he signed long-term in Toronto. It will be interesting to see what the Raptors and Lowry do this summer to get back on track next season.
