Report: Bears Entertaining Trade Offers for Martellus Bennett

Martellus Bennett says Bears lack passion

Tight end Martellus Bennett hasn’t been taking part in the Bears’ voluntary workouts so far this offseason — with him and the team open to parting ways.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the team is entertaining trade offers for Bennett and that Bennett is looking for a new deal in Chicago or somewhere else.

Bennett is set to make $4.9 million in base salary in 2015 and just over $5 million in 2016 in the final two years of the four-year pact he signed with the Bears in 2013.

Bennett is also coming off his most productive professional season with 90 catches for 916 yards and six touchdowns.
