Report: Cowboys Out Of Adrian Peterson Trade Race

NFC Wild Card Game: Philadelphia Eagles v Minnesota Vikings

After a Adrian Peterson to the Dallas Cowboys talks began in November thanks to Jerry Jones saying himself that he wanted Peterson on the Cowboys, it seems as if they will not make a play for Peterson after all.

NFL Network reporter Ian Rapoport stated that the Cowboys have no interest in making a trade for the Vikings running back. Whether it’s the Vikings wanting too much for Peterson (alledgely a 1st rounder and more), or the fact that Peterson has a crazy large contract that the Cowboys can’t afford, we aren’t sure yet.

Peterson will have to play for the Vikings or play for nobody. That’s the way the Vikings want it. They signed Peterson to a big money contract and owe him $13 million in 2015, a large number that they can afford but most other teams cannot and it’s clear that the Vikings still want AP, no matter what his agent says.
