The Minnesota Vikings may or may not be wavering off their stance that Adrian Peterson will not be traded.
Adam Caplan of ESPN.com is reporting that it will take a first-round pick and a starting caliber cornerback — just to get the Vikings to the table.
According to Caplan, Minnesota believes cornerback is a need right now, and the opportunity to grab one or more via the draft or trade is enticing.
The team taking on Peterson’s monstrous contract — $12.75 million next year — will have to be content with losing a first round pick — while hitching their wagons to a running back heading north of 30.
