The string of good news continues for Spurs forward Kahwi Leonard.
Adrian Wojanowski reported this morning that the former Aztecs forward is happy in San Antonio, and front management in San Antonio is doing everything in its power to keep him pleased.
Wojnarowksi went on to say,
“For now, there’s no scenario where Leonard plans to pursue offer sheets on the market, league sources tell Yahoo Sports.
Leonard wants to be a Spur, and the Spurs are expected to come calling on July 1 with the max offer that they resisted delivering Leonard in the preseason, a move born out of preserving cap space to bring on a star free agent this summer.”
The Spurs won a pivotal Game 3, due in huge part to Leonard’s career high 32 points on 13-18 shooting, totally ripping Matt Barnes and any Clippers defender apart last night.
Indications point to keeping Kawhi Leonard in San Antonio until he’s old as Tim Duncan.
