Ubaldo Jimenez killed his own no hitter bid when he was ejected in the 4th inning after hitting Pablo Sandoval with a wild pitch. So far in the game Jimenez had 3 walks but still no hits and 2 outs in the inning with Pablo at the plate. Jimenez then throws a pitch that nails Sandoval in the shoulder.
Jimenez has had issue with control in the past but the umpire decided that this pitch was intentional and a result of a play that happened earlier in the game with Pablo Sandoval. Sandoval broke up a double play by sliding hard into 2nd base and stopping Jonathan Schoop’s throw.
