With Black Panther confirmed to be in Captain America: Civil War the remaining question now is how does he tie into the plot?
It’s now been reported that Black Panther aka T’Challa’s significance in the movie is his own search for the Winter Soldier. When last we saw of the Winter Soldier aka Bucky Barnes, he was pulling Steve Rogers out of the water he fell in after Steve refused to fight Bucky back, in Captain America: Winter Soldier.
At the end of the movie Steve along with Sam go on the search for Bucky. Now, fast forward to Avengers: Age of Ultron where we hear Steve and Sam confirm that their search for Bucky has gone cold–so no one knows where Bucky is by the time Captain America: Civil War starts. Which brings us back to T’Challa. What is his ties to the Winter Soldier?
When geeky tipster Umberto Gonzalez asked his IG followers for a possible link, many went on the inkling that Winter Soldier is somehow connected to the murder of T’Challa’s father T’Chaka. Now, the MCU basically confirmed that Ulysses Klaw will be the major antagonist to Black Panther–hence why he was introduced in Age of Ultron, but could Winter Soldier be worked in to Klaw’s expedition to Wakanda in search of vibranium?
We will find out the full details of Black Panther’s relentless search for Winter Soldier, when the movie hits theaters May 6, 2016.
