Canelo Alvarez is fighting James Kirkland tomorrow night and many people expect him to fight Miguel Cotto in the fall. That was until Canelo opened the door for a very exciting rematch.
“I would love it [a rematch with Mayweather]. It would interest me,” Canelo said. “I’ve learned more things, there’s more experience.”
Canelo is only 24 years old and he has grown a great deal since the first Mayweather fight but he hasn’t shown that he’d be able to chase down Floyd any better than he did the first time around. The slick-footed Erislandy Lara gave him problems and Floyd is still a notch above him.
