The Los Angeles Clippers and San Antonio Spurs have been in a terrific series, and for it to continue Doc Rivers and company needed another road win at AT&T Center.
The Lob City trio of Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and DeAndre Jordan were sensational, and led the Clippers to their second consecutive road victory 102-96.
Paul might of played his best floor general game of the series with 19 points, 17 assists on 1 turnover, 4 steals, and most importantly 0 technicals. His backcourt mate, JJ Reddick was dialed in all game sniping from all over the floor, matching Paul with 19 points on 7-12 shooting.
The frontline for the Clippers came up huge, combining for 41 points, 26 rebounds, and a massive 7 blocks. The Hack-A-Jordan didn’t do much for Spurs coach Greg Popovich, as Jordan went 7-13 from the stripe.
The Spurs started the game lethargic, and didn’t have the sense of urgency for a close out game. Tim Duncan was held to a meager 12 points and 13 rebounds, Boris Diaw contributed with 17 points. Spurs frontline were totally outplayed by Griffin and Jordan, and will need to keep the Clippers duo off the glass.
The backcourt for San Antonio was non-existent, as Tony Parker and Danny Green combined for 7-12 shooting for a mere 15 points. Green, especially was all over the place on both ends of the floor, and not in a good way.
Popoovich will have a huge decision of possibly starting Marco Belinelli, who went 7-12 from the field including 7-11 from behind the arc for 23 points to lead the Spurs.
