Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Mike Wallace spoke to St. Paul Pioneer Press about how nobody in the NFL can out run him.
“Without a doubt, I’m the fastest player in the NFL…If somebody feels foggy about that, we can (race). I’m never going to back down from competition. “I’ve run a lot of routes and I’ve got a lot of miles on my legs, but I still feel that there’s nobody who can run with me. I might have slowed down a little but I could still run 4.25.”
That’s pretty great to be the fastest in the NFL but speed doesn’t mean good. Especially if a team puts a safety up top to help the corner. Last season Wallace caught for 67 passes for 862 yards (37th in the NFL) and 10 touchdowns. The Vikings are hoping that the newly acquired Wallace will bring more than just his speed to the team this season.
