Things are getting ugly for the former LSU stand out.
La’el Collins has had his name in the news during the drafts, but unfortunately only due to controversy.
Due to the untimely death of Collins’ then-pregnant girlfriend, he began to fall on everybody’s big board. At first Collins’ agent had said to teams that should his client go undrafted in the first 3 rounds, he would refuse to sign with the team. There have been reports that Collins will be taken this Saturday, but that remains to be seen.
Now Albert Breer of the NFL Network is reporting that should Collins ultimately go undrafted all together, he wouldn’t be able to declare for next year’s draft.
La’el Collins appears to have fallen down a very slippery slope.
Per the NFL, if La’el Collins is drafted, sits out the year, he can enter the ’16 draft. If he goes undrafted, he can’t enter the ’16 draft.
