Rysheed Jordan should have just turned pro, if he wasn’t going to take his studies seriously.
The former five-star recruit out of Philadelphia is in serious danger of not being eligible academically according to the New York Post.
His status is expected to be resolved in one way or another at some point this coming week.
Nevertheless, the sources said he has neglected the student aspect of being a student athlete since returning from a leave of absence from the team in early January, and is in serious danger of not being able to compete in the fall semester, and possibly even further.
Jordan was unsure about returning to the school following a sophomore season that saw him average 14.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
Rather than head overseas, or try his hand in workouts, Jordan returned to St. John’s despite not doing much classwork during the season.
