Following a 94-73 blowout to the Cleveland Cavaliers, many people around the league expect Tom Thibodeau and the Chicago Bulls to part ways. Not to worry, the most coveted coaching vacancy is in New Orleans and could be a landing spot for Thibodeau.
ESPN’s Marc Stein also tweeted last night shortly after the Bulls Game 6 elimination loss to the Cavaliers.
Orlando's interest in Tom Thibodeau is well documented and NBA coaching sources say there is mutual interest between New Orleans and Thibs

Coach Thibodeau was an assistant coach for Team USA this past summer, and has a good relationship with NBA superstar Anthony Davis. With Davis and current Pelican Omer Asik (played for Thibodeau in Chicago from 2010-2012), Thibodeau could turn them into a top ten defense.
Thibs has done wonders from his days as an assistant coach for the Celtics and as head coach for the Bulls on being a defensive specialist. Since 2007, Thibs has had 9 top 10 coached teams (Bulls and Celtics) in points per game allowed, with three of those teams leading the league in that category.
Thibodeau would be a great hire for the Pelicans, if the current rift between Bulls management leads to him leaving the Bulls.
