This is something I have never seen before. Pat Venditte recently was called up to the majors by the Oakland A’s and his talents are without a doubt one of a kind. Venditte has the ability to pitch both arms on an elite level making himself the first ambidextrous pitcher I have ever seen. Venditte made his major league debut last night for the A’s recording outs with his left and right arm.
Things got a little interest when switch hitter Blake Swihart came to bat. It is viewed in baseball that hitter have a greater advantage of getting a hit when they bat the opposite hand of the pitcher (example right-handed batters rather face left-handed pitcher and visa versa). Swihart is a switch hitter, in the rare situation where he faces a switch pitcher, the pitcher has to declare prior to the at bat which arm he will pitch with.

Venditte pitched well in his first game. It will be interesting to see if he can continue to play well or if he becomes a sideshow.
