With Kevin Love and now Kyrie Irving out, the Cleveland Cavaliers have an enormous mountain to climb. While it seems nearly impossible on the surface, the Cavs can look at a team just 141 miles away for a sense of hope.
“Obviously Kyrie brings a huge amount to our team, but all year they’ve found ways just like Ohio State found ways with their new quarterbacks,” Cavs owner Dan Gilbert said.
The Ohio State Buckeyes won the National Championship with third string quarterback Cardale Jones. In Cleveland’s case, LeBron is the lone star surrounded by a cast of role players.
It’s not impossible theoretically, but guys must truly take their game to the next level in order to shock the world.
