I was giddy the first time I met Julius Erving, but I’m not sure I’ve ever reacted this way in the presence of a superstar.
A grown man we’ll refer to as ‘LeBron’s No. 1 fan’ seems to cry after having a brief interaction with the King following Cavaliers’ Eastern Conference Finals series against the Bulls.
He explained himself on his YouTube page.
I’ve been a LeBron fan most of my life, he and I are from the same city of Akron, Ohio. I had the opportunity to go to Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals on May 24th 2015 and because of where we were seated, I was able to catch him heading back through the tunnels right before tip-off. The feeling of interacting with someone who had such a deep admiration for was priceless and I responded accordingly. I cheered, passed out and then cried. I wouldn’t have wanted it any other way. My hope is for LeBron James himself to see this one day but I thought I would share with the world.
The tears seem forced and this seems fake, but maybe it’s just me.
