It appears that the Miami Dolphins might be open to give Dion Jordan another chance. Jordan has to serve a year suspension for violating the NFL’s substance abuse policy, which means the Dolphins are allowed to ask Jordan to return his $3.35 million signing bonus. However, reports are that the Dolphins won’t pursue Jordan for the money.
This means that either the team doesn’t feel it’s worth their time to go after Jordan for money he may not have or that they feel they can do something with him in 2016 to salvage him on the field. Maybe it’s the “too much invested to quit” principle for the Dolphins and Jordan. Either way, it’s a lot of money that Jordan doesn’t have to worry about paying back.
