With a season that many felt was subpar for the San Francisco 49ers, QB Colin Kaepernick knows that they could be better.
While the 49ers have had an offseason filled with retirements, Kaepernick has faith in the offense, he just knows what he needs to do now to make it all better: He has to do more.
“I do feel like I need to do more, but not because of [the changes],” Kaepernick said, via the San Jose Mercury News. “Offensively, last year for us, we feel it was a letdown. We should be able to do more, and we plan to do more this year. We’re working toward that. As far as our defense, they’re confident with who they have and who’s playing. They’re confident in their abilities to make plays over there.”
With the talent the 49ers have at WR, especially with the addition of Torrey Smith, Kaepernick has to step it up and find the playmakers on offense. Kaepernick has a long term contract so he’s stuck in San Francisco, so it would be wise for him to get his act together soon.
