Projected NBA Lottery Prospect Cameron Payne suffered a non-displaced fracture in his ring finger during a workout for the Denver Nuggets on Monday.
The sophomore guard out of Murray State was rising on mock drafts, but this minor setback will have Payne out at least 3 weeks. After seeing a hand specialist in New York, it has been determined for now he will not need surgery for his injury.
Payne has been sought by numerous of teams in the bottom half of the lottery including the Oklahoma City Thunder, Utah Jazz, and Indiana Pacers, all hopeful that he will be available at their draft slot selection.
Will see where Payne gets selected this upcoming Thursday in the NBA Draft.
