With traditional marriages, the wife usually takes the husband’s last name. Times are changing and people are doing things less traditional when it comes to marriage.
Zoë Saldana and husband Marco Perego decided to things the non-traditional way. He is taking HER last name.
Here are the details via Rolling Out:
Since the pair tied the knot in 2013, Saldana’s says that her 36-year-old artist beau has chosen to take her surname, despite Zoe trying to “talk him out of it.”
“I tried to talk him out of it. I told him, ‘If you use my name, you’re going to be emasculated by your community of artists, by your Latin community of men, by the world.’ But Marco looks up at me and says, ‘Ah, Zoe, I don’t give a sh-t.’”
I’m more of a traditional girl, so I believe the wife should take her husband’s last name, but to each its own. What do you guys think about a husband taking his wife’s last name?
