Calipari Explains Why ’16 Class Could Be His Best Ever

Calipari says '15 class could be best ever

The Kentucky Wildcats were a mere two games short of finishing 40-0 this past season. Despite losing to Wisconsin in the final four, ‘Big Blue Nation’ will never forget that group of guys led by Karl-Anthony Towns and Willie Cauley-Stein.

Now, with the 2015 college basketball season getting closer and closer, head coach John Calipari has the top freshmen class rolling into Lexington.

However, Calipari is already looking ahead to what his 2016 class will potentially look like.

“This year’s recruiting class, where we’re in the middle of right now, could be one of our best ever,” Calipari said. “The kids that I’m seeing, that we’re involved with, that I feel really good about. This could be our best class ever. And that’s a pretty scary statement coming from who we’ve been able to recruit over the last 25 years.”

Kentucky is currently major players for Harry Giles, Josh Jackson and Dennis Smith Jr., who are all consensus top 10 prospects.
