After losing key pieces all year en route to losing in six games to the eventual NBA champions the Golden State Warriors, the city of Cleveland is eagerly waiting on their core players to return.
Bleacher Report’s Ethan J. Skolnick tweeted on David Griffin’s comments last night on a couple important Cavaliers.
Kyrie Irving is rehabbing in Miami and David Griffin says Irving is on pace. Love & Varejao will be ready for start of camp

Griffin’s update should sooth Cavalier fans who are expecting a return to the NBA Finals if they can remain healthy next season.
The two biggest blows came during the NBA Playoffs in all-stars Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving. Love was lost in the series clincher in the 1st round to the Boston Celtics in a season-ending shoulder injury, and Irving was lost in Game 1 of the NBA Finals in a scramble to the floor in overtime resulting in a series-ending knee injury.
Anderson Varejao was sidelined with a torn achilles tendon after scoring a new three year deal, with two of those years guaranteed.
LeBron James used his herculean efforts to make it a competitive series, but the Warriors had too many weapons that had coach David Blatt and company in sorts.
Can the Cavaliers remain injury-free and capture their first NBA crown ?
One thing is for sure, getting Kyrie Irving and Anderson Varejao will certainly help those chances.
