To say there’s been drama in Sacramento this summer would be a drastic understatement.
The beef between head coach George Karl and star center DeMarcus Cousins got so bad that some were questioning if either one of them would remain in town.
Things have appeared to calm down a bit now, but Karl still wants to fully clear the air.
“I want to talk to Cuz,” Karl said. “But the situation, because of how it got, I think we’ve got to be patient to get to that point. … I trust Vlade. I don’t know when it will be or how it will be, but I think [the meeting with Cousins] will happen.”
Sacramento hasn’t made the playoffs since 2006 and in order for them to snap that drought, Karl and Cousins must be on the same page.
