With so much bad news surrounding the Denver Nuggets, it’s clear a rebuilding direction is what the franchise is moving towards.
The former 6th pick of the 2008 NBA Draft has showed glimpses of stardom in New York and Denver when healthy, but last season was a struggle for him and the Nuggets as a whole.
The Nuggets have hired new coach Mike Malone and drafted highly touted Emmanuel Mudiay with the 7th pick in this year’s draft earlier in June.
Does Gallinari fit the franchise’s future plans and if so at what cost ?
Gallinari had this to say on his game going forward and sounded optimistic.
“I’m 26. I still have a lot to learn, a lot to improve,” Gallinari said. “The sky is the limit. You’ll always find me in the gym, working on my game. Looking forward to next season because I think I’m going to be better than the player I finished this season.”
Gallinari averaged 12.4 points in 24 minutes last season for the Nuggets.
