Knicks have been pretty active in this NBA off season. They may have missed out on star free agents Marc Gasol and LaMarcus Aldridge. The Knicks also missed out on Greg Monroe who they were believed to be the front runners for before the end of the season. But the Knicks have added free agents Arron Afflalo, Robin Lopez, Kyle O’Quinn and Derrick Williams. According to team President Phil Jackson he has not involve or spoken to star Carmelo Anthony about any off season moves.
Phil said he hasn't spoken to Carmelo since the Knicks made their signings.

It doesn’t matter if Melo signs off or not. Melo is signed through the 2017/2018 season with a players option the following season. Hopefully these moves are enough to make the Knicks competitive next season. Knicks only won 17 games last season.
