Wilmer Flores had a real crazy night. The New York Mets second baseman was traded to the Brewers and if going from New York to Milwaukee wasn’t bad enough, he was actually playing when the trade happened. You would think that the Mets would take him out of the game but they didn’t. So Flores was on the field for the Mets when his emotions got the best of him and he started to cry during the game. The Mets second basemen is a week away from his 24th birthday but tonight he was all tears and the announcers didn’t know what to say.
Surreal scene. Mets trade Wilmer Flores but leave him in game. Flores then cries on field while playing. pic.twitter.com/0CDpjGpwpS

Wow, I can only imagine what is going through his head at the time. It’s crazy the Mets even left him in the game and risked him getting injured. Where’s Jimmy Dugan where you need him? There’s no crying in baseball, Wilmer.
*UPDATE*
It looks like the crying has paid off for Flores, as he will not be traded.
Alderson just told #Mets’ writers “there is no trade” for Gomez and that a deal “will not transpire.”
