With a 2014 season that saw zero Chief wide receivers make a catch, they made a huge change this off season. In addition to adding Jeremy Maclin, the Chiefs have moved explosive RB De’Anthony Thomas from Oregon, to the wide receiver position.
At Oregon, Thomas was used in all forms, so he has the ability to catch the ball. Pair that with his explosive speed, you have what could be a dangerous slot WR.
“It makes me more valuable to the offense,” said Thomas. “It lets defenses look for me, see where I’m at on the field. It just gives them a different look. I believe it’s a great thing.”
