Chris Weidman is the only current male undefeated UFC champion and he’s been able to dominate his division in part because of his huge size advatage over his opponents. In both Anderson Silva matches Wediman looked to be an entire division bigger than ‘The Spider.’
Recently during a Mets’ fan Q&A on Twitter Weidman discussed a possible move up to light heavyweight and a future fight against Jon Jones:
It’s highly unlikely that Daniel Cormier will be LHW champion by the time Weidman decides to move up, so he’d have to face a new champion for the crown. He seemed to have someone in mind.
Weidman vs Jones would be exciting but Chris has shownb that he is open to standing and trading with strikers, which isn’t a good recipe for success against ‘Bones.’
