WBA welterweight champ Keith Thurman was at Barclays to catch the one-sided Danny Garcia vs Paulie Malignaggi bout Saturday night.
Before the fight was underway, BSO got up-close with the brutally honest Floridan fighter, fresh off his victory vs Luis Collazo. Thurman was quite candid with the press, talking about everything from the business side of boxing, his willingness to travel overseas and fight and his love/hate relationship with Mayweather’s ‘money show’.
Thurman quite memorably called out Floyd, saying he’s got the skills needed to defeat the ‘super’ welterweight, who is allowed to pick and choose who he fights. Thurman laid out the blueprint to Mayweather’s success and how his plan is vastly different.
