Lee Corso wearing ridiculous costumes on the College GameDay set is a given.
Over the years he’s dressed as virtually every college mascot while announcing who he believes will win that week’s featured match-up.
But have you noticed one team’s mascot in particular that has been missing over the past few years?
Lee Corso says he hasn't been allowed to put on Seminoles mascot gear on Gameday since Bill Murray stole spear and threw it at Clemson game.

Apparently, the producers over on College GameDay didn’t appreciate Bill Murray throwing the Seminoles’ spear into a crowd of hundreds of people just a few years back.

(They don’t mind Corso dancing around in that offensive Native American attire, though, of course.)
In hindsight, that probably wasn’t the greatest idea Bill Murray has ever had.
The man is still a living legend, though, and my guess is that if the spear did impale someone then Murray would have been able to make them laugh it off just by buying them a beer.
This one’s gotta hurt for Corso, though – FSU is his pride and joy, his alma mater.
Maybe if Florida State ever decides to change their team’s name & mascot, then College GameDay could bring it back. But I wouldn’t hold my breath for that one.
