A Lowe’s Delivery driver’s trip was cut short after receiving a call to come back because he was black.
The customer, the driver was headed to basically said she only wanted a white man delivering her goods to her door.
The driver whose name is Marcus Bradley returned to the Danville, Virginia Lowes after the request, as told to by company leaders.
Bradley told Huffpost about the phone call,
“I got a phone call … telling me to bring the delivery back, saying that I couldn’t do the delivery,” Bradley told WSET. “I asked him why I couldn’t do it and he said because you’re black and they don’t want you at the house.”
Lowe’s spokeswoman Chris Ahearn said the company apologized promptly, and fired the leaders who held Bradley back.
Ahearn also mentioned that, Terry Johnson, Lowe’s senior vice president of store operations, visited the store and personally apologized to all of the company’s drivers.
There are no reports revealing the callers identity, but she has been quoted to have said,
“I got a right to have whatever I want and that’s it,” the woman said. “I don’t feel bad about nothing.”
It’s a sad situation, and I feel the driver deserves a little more than an apology.
@PMorris153 Phillip, we have no tolerance for discrimination of any kind. The leaders who made the decision are no longer with the company.

I haven’t even seen an apology from the ‘leaders’ that told the man to come back, what do you guys think?
