The San Diego Chargers wanted Melvin Gordon so badly that they traded up for the former collegiate star running back.
During his last year at Wisconsin, Gordon produced one of the best seasons ever for a back. The Heisman finalist rushed for 2,587 yards, which was only a mere 42 yards short of breaking Barry Sanders all-time single season rushing record.
Now, Gordon is prepared to make a name for himself at the next level and his biggest critique is apparently his own mother.
Now this is a challenge: Melvin Gordon's mom, Carmen, won't wear her son's Chargers' jersey until he proves himself.
