Looks like Nike decided to not “Just Do It.” According to TMZ sports, Nike has decided to back out of the bidding war with Adidas over James Harden’s shoe contract. Adidas offered Harden a 13-year $200 million last week which Nike has a chance to match.
Nike is rumored to have concerns about spending that much money on one player when they have several other superstars, Lebron, KD, Kobe and Carmelo just to name a few. Although Harden hasn’t officially signed with Adidas yet, it seems like the wise move. Harden would be the biggest fish in the Adidas pond. He was also spotted laced in some new Adidas gear leaving a Drew League game with his girlfriend Khloe Kardashian over the weekend.
