Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas fractured a finger in today’s preseason opener versus the Pittsburgh Steelers.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapport tweeted this on the injury.
#Jaguars TE Julius Thomas fractured a finger during tonight’s game, I’m told. The hope is it’ll affect him minimally.

Thomas, who had successful seasons with Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning hooking up for 24 touchdowns in the last two seasons.
The Jaguars are hoping he can become a safety net and red zone target for quarterback Blake Bortles, and this injury doesn’t help their investment.
Thomas signed a 5 year, $46 million contract during the offseason, and the Jaguars are counting on his production.
