In a sport where the majority of boxers end up broke, I am never going to knock a boxer or any athlete for that matter for getting every dollar they can.
I will say this though, there would have been far less complaining about Mayweather-Berto if it was on free TV.
According to ESPN’s Dan Rafael the simple reason it didn’t happen was because it would have required Mayweather taking less money than he can make on PPV.
Most athletes want to be in a position to call the shots, but few are. Mayweather is a rare exception and doesn’t really care what people thinks about it.
As fans it is your choice what you want to do, so the power is yours.
