The Jets will be forced to sign a quarterback while dealing with the loss Geno Smith and former NFL quarterback Rex Grossman is preparing himself if the opportunity comes his way but needs a few more days before he’s ready.
Call it The Rexurrection. Rex Grossman tells me he’ll be 100-percent healed from a foot sprain in a week: “We’ll see if (Jets) wait for me."

Nothing is set in stone on who the Jets will sign and how quick but Grossman will be waiting on them.
“We’ll see if they wait for me,” said Grossman.
Grossman last played in 2013 with the Washington Redskins and has received a little interest from a couple of teams since then. The Browns reached out to Grossman last December but Grossman decided he would rather stay with his family during the Christmas holiday instead of playing football for a one week league minimum salary. Grossman is a 12-year veteran with 56 touchdowns and 60 interceptions in his career.
