Washington Wizards star Bradley Beal will be entering his last year of his rookie contract this upcoming season where he’s making 5.7 million.
However, the Wizards have yet to secure the one half of their dynamic duo long term and the question that arises is why.
Beal, a tw0-way player with a feathery jump shot and gets after it on the defensive end, but yet injuries have always been a constant theme thus far into his NBA career.
The talent and upside is there and is evident, but the Wizards seem to have their eyes set for Kevin Durant sweepstakes in the 2016 NBA free agency and want to have as much flexibility as possible to land the missing piece to finally land them in the NBA Finals.
The former Gator has never played a full 82 game season, last season he played 63 games averaging 15.3 points and shooting 40.1 percent from downtown.
Will see how these contract extensions affect Beal heading into training camp, and if both sides can come to agreement.
