Adrian Peterson On Letting the Anger Go After His Poor Performance

Adrian PetersonAdrian Peterson’s first game back since being suspended wasn’t a great one. Peterson had only 31 yards for 10 carries in the Vikings embarrassing loss to the 49ers and after being clearly frustrated, he states that he is no longer looking in the past, his only focus is his future.

“Yeah, the reset button has been pressed,” he said. “It comes down to making sure that your alignment is right, you’re being patient, you’re reading it quickly and you’re responding quickly as well. We’ve been getting a lot of reps in the gun since OTAs and I think we’ll continue to get these looks in the game, in live action. So we’ll just be able to improve as a unit, being on the same page.”

Peterson’s run game is needed in the Vikings offense. The team has been named a “sleeper” by many critics and after Monday nights performance, I’m sure some eyebrows have been raised. At least Peterson and the Vikings are aware of what’s needed to be fixed in order to be effective in a highly competitive NFC North division because it will not be easy to come out victorious against those heavy hitters.
