This summer the Phoenix Suns and Markieff Morris weren’t exactly on the same page to say the least.
However, it seems Morris has moved on from his demands of wanting to leave the team. During the Suns media day Morris addressed his new stance with his Suns.
“I want to be here,” Morris said while wearing his Suns No. 11 jersey for media day.
Morris was very adamant on wanting to be dealt to another team, but says his focus is helping the Suns get to NBA Playoffs.
“I’m looking forward to the season, not really trying to look at the past,” Morris said. “I don’t really want to talk about what I did in the summer. I really want to look forward to this up-and-coming season. Glad to be back with my teammates and glad to be back with the team.”
“The ultimate goal is to make the playoffs,” said Morris, calling this Suns team the best he has been a part of in Phoenix. “It’s not about me. It’s about my teammates and the organization. I’m just looking forward to a great year and hopefully we can make the playoffs this year.”
Suns teammates will need Morris’s production, and along with newly acquired Tyson Chandler form a very nice frontline.
The question remains will Morris resign this offseason, this upcoming free agency will answer all questions.
